Taiwanese developer Lemist Game Studio has launched a free demo for its upcoming 3D management title, Lami: A Cup of Code and Coffee. The game, created entirely by a solo developer, recently earned the Popularity Award in the game category at the 2026 Bahamut ACG Creation Contest. It is scheduled to participate in the Steam Cooking Fest from October 13 to 20 and the Steam Next Fest from October 20 to 26.
The game blends Japanese-style aesthetics with management simulation and rhythm mechanics. Players take on the role of a protagonist who inherits a coffee shop from their grandfather and discovers an AI robot girl named Lami in a hidden laboratory. Together, they manage the shop while uncovering the secrets left behind by the grandfather.
Core gameplay involves serving customers, customizing the shop with various furniture, and upgrading equipment. Players can also craft items and enhance Lami's capabilities. Additionally, the game features rhythm-based programming tasks, resource gathering like mining and logging, and combat against hostile recycling robots known as Scavengers.
The available demo offers approximately 30 minutes to one hour of gameplay. Developer Lemist aims to provide a relaxing experience for players, comparing the game to a warm cup of coffee that allows users to pause and appreciate the blend of technology and craftsmanship.
