SEGA has unveiled a new trailer titled Welcome to Brazil for the upcoming title Crazy Taxi: World Tour. The footage highlights the game's recreation of the country, showcasing its vibrant streets, beaches, and natural landscapes. Producer Kenji Kanno noted that the inspiration for these environments stems from the contrast between modern urban life and the bustling atmosphere of Brazilian cities.

The game maintains the series' core arcade gameplay, tasking players with delivering passengers to destinations as quickly as possible through drifts and jumps. This entry is described as more ambitious than its predecessors, featuring five distinct global cities, including locations in Japan, Germany, and the United States, alongside the newly showcased Brazil.

Beyond the traditional arcade time-trial mode, the title introduces a campaign mode centered on the character Axel. Players must navigate missions and challenges to recover his stolen taxi from an international criminal organization. The game also includes secondary activities, vehicle customization, and competitive multiplayer modes that support cross-platform play.

Developed by SEGA Sapporo Studio, Crazy Taxi: World Tour is scheduled for release in 2027. The game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC, marking the franchise's first major installment in over two decades.
