Capcom has released Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen on October 9 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and Steam. Priced at 5,990 yen, this title expands upon the original open-world fantasy game with new narrative elements and gameplay experiences.
Existing owners of the base game can access the new content by purchasing the Dark Arisen Expansion DLC for 2,990 yen. This expansion introduces three major additions, including the northern territory of Norgan, a frozen region filled with hostile tribes and powerful monsters.
The expansion incorporates hack-and-slash mechanics through the discovery of 'Relic Gear.' Players must bring these items back to a base for appraisal to reveal their true potential, which may include high-performance stats or unique skills. Additionally, the update expands character customization with new hairstyles and tattoos.
The game continues to feature a party system where players are joined by a main pawn and two support pawns borrowed from other players online. New 'Official Pawns' created by various celebrities and streamers are also being distributed to enhance the adventure.
