Annapurna Interactive released the narrative adventure title Forever Ago on October 8, 2026. Developed by Third Shift, the game follows an elderly protagonist named Alfred who embarks on a road trip to visit locations significant to his relationship with his partner, Audrey, following a tragic turning point in his life.
During his journey, Alfred traverses diverse environments ranging from tranquil forest lakes to dusty, sun-scorched deserts. These travels facilitate encounters with various individuals, allowing players to engage with new friends and learn about their personal histories, beliefs, and struggles.
The gameplay incorporates a photography mechanic where Alfred utilizes his instant camera to document the trip. These captured images serve a functional purpose, as they are integrated into puzzle-solving sequences throughout the experience.
The title is available on several platforms with varying pricing. The Steam, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X|S versions are priced at 2300 yen, while the PlayStation 5 edition costs 2310 yen and the Epic Games Store version is 2350 yen, all including tax.
