Legacy Games, a publisher established in 1998 known for casual and indie titles, has announced the closure of its PC storefront. Despite previously marketing its library with the slogan 'yours forever,' the company will cease operations, leaving users unable to access their purchased content permanently.

The platform, which launched in 2020 and hosted over 1000 titles including puzzle and management games, will officially shut down on December 31. Users who possess physical games with codes are advised to redeem them before this deadline to ensure they are added to their accounts.

Following the store closure, users may temporarily download their existing library via the launcher. However, Legacy Games will deactivate all download capabilities on February 28. Once this date passes, uninstalling any installed software will result in the permanent loss of those games, as they will no longer be available for retrieval.

The company claims that games remain 'yours forever' provided they are not deleted from a device. However, this condition effectively limits access to the hardware currently in use, as users will be unable to re-download or migrate their purchases to new equipment after the February deadline.
