Creator unit FLUFFLOP announced that their desktop application Usagi to Poop will launch on Steam in 2027. Priced at 1,000 yen, the title transforms a user's desktop into a playground for pixel-art rabbits. The Steam release follows the success of the itch.io and BOOTH versions, which sold over 4,000 copies in their first six months.
The core gameplay involves collecting rabbit droppings left by the creatures as they roam the screen. Players can exchange these items for treats or furniture to enhance their virtual life with the rabbits. The application features over 80 rabbit varieties, each rendered in a 15x14 pixel size with detailed animations mimicking real-life behaviors like curling up or sleeping.
The itch.io version holds an average rating of 4.99 stars from 144 reviews as of October 2026. Users have praised the game for its realistic rabbit movements and the authentic feel of the dropping collection system. Some players noted that the experience allowed them to reconnect with memories of their own past pets.
The Steam launch will coincide with a major update titled "Casual Days and Anniversaries," which adds features to celebrate milestones like birthdays. While the Steam version will include platform-specific features like achievements, content will remain identical to other versions. Data migration between platforms will be supported via export and import functions.
