Riot Games has released the 26.20 patch for League of Legends, specifically tailored for the upcoming World Championship. The update prioritizes balance adjustments for champions frequently utilized in professional play, continuing the trend of preemptive nerfs seen in the 26.19 patch.

In the top lane, Ambessa and K'Sante received nerfs due to their dominance in professional matches. K'Sante's performance in solo queue has suffered, with a 47.9% win rate, dropping to 48.37% in Master tier and above. Conversely, Pantheon has emerged as a new contender following research into the 'Stormrazor's Roar' build.

The jungle meta remains dominated by Lee Sin, who avoided nerfs despite high pick and ban rates. Nidalee and Elise maintain strong positions due to their early-game power. Meanwhile, Qiyana shows exceptional performance in Master tier and above, outperforming Lee Sin in high-level play.

Mid lane adjustments include a nerf to Cassiopeia, while Aurora has reclaimed the top spot in solo queue despite previous significant nerfs. In the bot lane, Jinx has ascended to the top position following a substantial nerf to Yunara, who fell to 3rd tier. The support meta remains heavily focused on tank champions, as they provide necessary stability for hyper-carry compositions.
