Square Enix's RPG titles Octopath Traveler and Octopath Traveler II are scheduled to launch on the GOG storefront on October 8. This release marks the first time both entries in the series will be available through this specific platform.
The publisher has confirmed that both games will be integrated into the GOG Preservation Program. This initiative aims to ensure long-term accessibility and compatibility for titles hosted on the service.
To celebrate the launch, GOG is offering promotional discounts on both games. Starting at 12 a.m. PT on October 8, customers can purchase the titles at reduced prices until the promotion concludes at midnight on October 18, with Octopath Traveler II specifically receiving a 60% discount.
Beyond this new GOG release, the series currently maintains a broad presence across various hardware. The games are already playable on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox consoles, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and Xbox PC.
