Studio Hibari is producing an anime adaptation of the manga series Nue’s Exorcist, which has been serialized in Shonen Jump since March 2023. The production is officially scheduled to begin airing in Japan during the Summer 2027 season.
The narrative follows high school student Gakuro Yajima, who gains exorcist powers after encountering a spirit named Nue. Alongside his classmate Kazusa Suo, Gakuro defends their school from supernatural threats. The Japanese voice cast includes Kaito Miura as Gakuro, Saori Onishi as Nue, and Sayumi Suzushiro as Kazusa.
A teaser trailer featuring the three main characters has been released on YouTube to promote the upcoming project. While the series is confirmed for a Japanese broadcast, there is currently no information regarding an international streaming platform for the show.
The source manga continues its weekly publication, with chapter 164 released on October 11, 2026. Viz Media manages the English physical releases, having published the eighth volume in early September 2026, with the ninth volume expected on November 3, 2026.
