Taiwanese indie developer Chen Liang-Yu announced updates for the upcoming raising simulation and narrative game NEKO MAKER 2: Starlit Girl, showcasing a redesigned monthly scheduling rhythm, user interface overhaul, and fresh gameplay screenshots.

The title places players in the role of a guardian guiding a memory-loss cat-eared girl from age 6 to 18 across 12 years. Players handle scheduling while investigating the mystery of Starlit Girl by gathering clues in a port town alongside everyday life elements.

The latest update transforms repetitive monthly loops into a structured format featuring semester commitments, monthly routines, and seasonal breaks. New semester options let players set primary goals and activities, while vacations allow time allocation among travel, studies, and relaxation.

The user interface adjustments refresh course choices, activity menus, and status displays, while core features like port exploration and the central mystery remain intact. The developer noted that generative artificial intelligence assisted with partial promotional art, visuals, and text drafts, though no live generation occurs during gameplay.

The current playable demo permits users to experience the first six years of the protagonist's life. Official pricing and the release date remain unannounced by the developer.
