The Japanese voice acting agency INTENTION, led by representative director Kenichi Suzumura, has announced it will dissolve on March 31, 2027. This decision follows a medical diagnosis of adjustment disorder for Suzumura, with doctors advising that continued involvement in company management would hinder his recovery.
Suzumura, known for roles in series like Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY and Demon Slayer, has faced recurring health issues. He previously took a hiatus in May 2024 and was diagnosed with adjustment disorder in February 2026. Although he attempted a gradual return to work in June 2026, the ongoing demands of running the agency proved incompatible with his health needs.
Established in 2009, INTENTION manages several prominent voice actors, including Yuichi Nakamura, Yuma Uchida, and Nao Toyama. The agency has confirmed that it will continue to handle management duties for its talent roster until the official dissolution date in 2027.
While the agency has not yet detailed the future career paths for its affiliated artists, it has pledged to provide maximum support for their transitions. Official statements emphasize that management operations will remain active until the firm closes, and there is currently no information regarding Suzumura's own future professional plans beyond prioritizing his recovery.
