Santa Monica Studio announced that God of War Laufey will launch on PlayStation 5 consoles on February 16, 2027. Pre-orders for the title opened at PlayStation Store and participating retailers starting September 29.
The game features combat mechanics built around Laufey's snake bow, which can transform instantly and handle both close combat and long-range attacks. Players can utilize multiple arrow types, equip different bow scale skins such as the Digital Deluxe edition's dark alchemy bow scale skin, and unlock new weapon skills.
Physical standard editions provide the game via download code and require an internet connection alongside a PlayStation account. Pricing is set at HKD 388 for the standard edition and HKD 438 for the digital deluxe edition.
Ahead of the 2027 release date, developers shared new screenshots and combat footage showcasing Laufey in action. Additional details regarding the game are scheduled to be revealed at a later time.
