Publisher Devolver Digital and Big Fan Games, alongside developer Auroch Digital, have officially released Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2. The title is now available for players on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S platforms.

This sequel continues the fast-paced, brutal retro first-person shooter style of its predecessor. Players can choose between the Ultramarine Malum Caedo or the Battle Sister Nila Vilas to navigate a non-linear single-player campaign. The narrative follows a catastrophic explosion caused by the demigod Vashtorr, forcing the protagonists to race against time to thwart his corrupting influence.

The game introduces new mechanics, including meltas that allow players to melt, roast, or vaporize enemies. Combat features visceral options like using chainswords or precise headshots. The experience is complemented by an original soundtrack featuring new arrangements by Mick Gordon, designed to accompany the pixelated carnage.

The game is priced at 469 New Taiwan Dollars or 145 Hong Kong Dollars. A demo version is currently available, covering the first two levels of the campaign for those interested in trying the gameplay.
