Developer Risshido has announced that its upcoming single-player simulation game, Eiroku Risshiden, is scheduled for release on October 26 for PC via Steam. The title features full Japanese language support.

Set in a Sengoku-era Japan depicted through a single, ink-wash style map, the game offers players complete freedom to determine their own path. Users navigate the world as wanderers, choosing which daimyo to serve or whether to establish their own independent clan. The map includes 23 daimyo factions and 195 distinct locations, such as towns, villages, and ninja settlements, all while reflecting changing seasons and times.

Players build custom units by recruiting soldiers from various locations, with troop types like ashigaru or ninja depending on the specific site. Strategic unit composition is vital for battles, as different troop types possess unique strengths and weaknesses. Surviving soldiers gain experience and follow branching growth paths, such as evolving from basic ashigaru to archers or advancing through ninja ranks.

The game features over 100 historical figures, including Oda Nobunaga. Players can interact with these commanders through dialogue choices to deepen relationships, potentially recruiting them as vassals to aid in their rise to power.
