Publisher Tailtone Games announced on October 15, 2026, that a demo for the upcoming PC survival horror adventure game Akuma to Kanojo to Nemurenai Yoru is now available on Steam. Developed by ixavon, the title features a distinct VHS-style aesthetic and centers on the theme of social withdrawal.
Players control Sadie, who spends her night searching for her missing friend, Sarah, by investigating encrypted posts, unsettling videos, and restricted accounts online. Simultaneously, Sadie must manage her relationship with her girlfriend, Zoey, by responding to constant messages to prevent their bond from deteriorating. Furthermore, supernatural entities threaten her home, forcing Sadie to barricade doors and set traps to survive the night.
The newly released demo incorporates adjustments to text, tutorials, and gameplay mechanics based on feedback from a playtest conducted in August 2026. This version covers the first two of the game's ten total nights, with an estimated completion time of 30 to 40 minutes.
While the full release date for the PC title remains undecided, the game supports Japanese language display. Interested players can currently access the trial version via the Steam platform.
