SEGA and developer Sports Interactive have released a new feature spotlight video for Football Manager 27, focusing on training and tactical execution. The title allows players to manage clubs ranging from local semi-professional teams to global giants, aiming to lead them to success.
The game introduces a revamped training interface as a primary navigation item, designed to reduce clicks and improve clarity. Players can now utilize the returning training schedule copy function and monitor player workload over upcoming weeks. Training sessions have been updated to include new drills for high-pressing intensity and defensive build-up, requiring managers to balance long-term development with immediate match results.
A new tactical execution system integrates four key metrics: tactical understanding, player ability, player buy-in, and opponent scouting. These indicators appear across tactical, training, and recruitment screens to help managers assess their philosophy. Additionally, a tactical complexity metric interacts with player ability, forcing coaches to choose between immediate, predictable tactics or complex systems that offer greater long-term rewards.
Tactical execution data will also be reflected in scouting reports, assisting in the evaluation of potential signings. Football Manager 27 is scheduled for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam, Epic, and Windows, as well as Mac and Netflix.
