Publisher Hooded Horse has announced its partnership with developer Hello World Studios to release BELTFED. This upcoming title is a factory defense game that incorporates Roguelike elements, emphasizing high-intensity combat and large-scale destruction.
Players assume the role of a rogue AI tasked with automating death. The core gameplay involves constructing and expanding a base that functions as both a factory and a war machine. By managing conveyor belts, smelters, and power grids, players convert raw materials into firepower to eliminate swarms of enemies.
The central Nexus must be protected at all costs, as its destruction ends the current run. However, players benefit from permanent progression, unlocking new weapons, buildings, and upgrades between deployments. This system allows for customized loadouts tailored to individual combat styles.
The game is scheduled for release in 2027. It will support a wide range of languages, including English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Korean, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Czech, Hungarian, Turkish, Ukrainian, Russian, and Brazilian Portuguese.
