Developer IO Interactive has officially scheduled the Nintendo Switch 2 release of 007 First Light for March 18, 2027. This announcement follows a period of uncertainty and multiple delays for the title, which originally launched on other consoles and PC in May 2026.
The game serves as a James Bond origin story, guiding players through 00 training and initial globe-trotting missions. IO Interactive has been praised for successfully reinventing the character, with the title earning recognition as a 2026 Game of the Year contender.
IO Interactive stated that the additional time is being utilized to refine performance and optimization specifically for the Nintendo Switch 2 hardware. The developer intends to ensure the port meets player expectations upon its eventual launch.
The Deluxe Edition is priced at $69.99, offering preorder bonuses like a GoldenEye Suit and various Tacsim mission skins. Physical copies will be distributed via game-key cards, while an Amazon-exclusive Specialist Edition will also feature a Classic Tuxedo skin.
