Sony has officially unveiled the God of War Laufey Collector Box, a premium merchandise bundle priced at $150. Mirroring recent industry trends seen with titles like GTA 6, this collection notably excludes any physical or digital copy of the game itself.
The box features an eight-inch light-up statue depicting Faye, Phranque, and Rue in combat, requiring a USB power source for the lighting effect. Additional contents include a 51-card Oracle Deck illustrated by Megan Lara and a physical mini artbook containing concept art curated by the Santa Monica Studio team.
Critics note that while the $150 price point is lower than the $400 GTA 6 collector's box, the offering feels underwhelming compared to past series entries. Previous editions, such as those for God of War 2018 and God of War Ragnarok, provided more substantial physical items and digital content. Furthermore, observers expressed disappointment that the package lacks a complimentary upgrade to the game's digital deluxe edition.
The collector box is scheduled for release on February 16, 2027, with a recommended retail price of $149.99 USD, €149.99, or £129.99. Sony confirmed that stock will be highly limited, with preorders opening on October 13, 2026, at 10am local time exclusively through PlayStation Direct.
