Speculation regarding the development of Star Wars Battlefront 3 has intensified following recent comments from Bulkhead Games CEO Joe Brammer. He alleges that EA Dice and Respawn Entertainment are currently collaborating on the project, though he provided no specific evidence to support these claims.
These assertions contrast with reports from Jeff Grubb of GiantBomb, who cited a rumor from Electronic Gaming Monthly. That report suggests Lucasfilm is actively searching for a developer, with EA Dice being a primary candidate, though Bungie is also mentioned as a potential alternative for the franchise.
Brammer expressed uncertainty regarding how this potential project might impact the development of the Battlefield series. Furthermore, Grubb noted that the game does not appear to be in active development, suggesting that discussions regarding studio selection are still ongoing.
Neither EA nor Lucasfilm has issued an official confirmation regarding a new Battlefront title. While EA's exclusive licensing agreement for Star Wars concluded in 2023, the current status of any new entry remains unverified, leaving the project in the realm of industry rumors.
