Sega and Colorful Palette have launched the Vivid BAD SQUAD Memories event and associated gacha for the iOS and Android rhythm and adventure game Project Sekai: Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku. This event is the first of six planned unit-focused compilations designed to help new players engage with the story before the main narrative reaches its climax.
During the event, which runs from October 21, 2026, to October 25, 2026, players can earn event points and badges by participating in rhythm game modes or gathering in My Sekai. These points unlock event stories, which summarize previous key narratives, while badges can be exchanged for items. Additionally, a commemorative login campaign offers free gacha tickets until October 25, 2026.
The Vivid BAD SQUAD Memories gacha features only members of that unit, with increased appearance rates for specific key story characters released before September 6, 2026. Players can also complete stamp missions to earn rewards, including a four-star member exchange ticket. Furthermore, new vocal versions of the songs Mikazuki Step and Colorful Foundation have been added to the game.
Looking ahead, the developers announced that Project Sekai Broadcast #37 will air on October 28, 2026. The program will feature segments on Vocaloid music and provide various new updates regarding the game, with appearances from several voice actors and guests.
