Visual Arts President and CEO Genki Tenkumo has officially announced that Key founder Jun Maeda has been diagnosed with pharyngeal cancer. Following this medical diagnosis, Maeda has decided to pursue palliative care.
Regarding his ongoing contributions, Tenkumo indicated that Maeda intends to complete his current assignments if his health permits. This includes finishing his writing and song compositions for Chapter 6 of the mobile and PC title Heaven Burns Red.
Maeda's upcoming music project, which was slated for a YouTube release, will also continue. Tenkumo confirmed that the songs currently in development will be finalized and released to the public.
Visual Arts is currently accepting letters and messages of encouragement for Maeda via email or their Osaka office address. However, the company has explicitly requested that fans refrain from sending physical gifts.
