The initial three titles in the Uncharted series have arrived on PC via an unofficial port developed by SuperMedo. This project, which debuted on GitHub on October 15, encompasses The Nathan Drake Collection, including Drake's Fortune, Among Thieves, and Drake's Deception. While Sony previously released Uncharted 4 and The Lost Legacy for PC in 2022, the original trilogy remained exclusive to consoles until this community-led effort.
The port functions by executing the PS4 version's x86-64 code directly on Windows while substituting console system functions. Graphics are translated to Vulkan using a renderer derived from the shadPS4 emulator. Users are required to provide their own decrypted game files, as the release does not contain any original assets.
Technical features include support for 60 and 120 FPS modes, with experimental higher frame rates available. Players can utilize various anti-aliasing methods such as TAA, FSR 3.1, FSR 4, and DLAA. Frame generation is supported via FSR 3 for any GPU, or DLSS Frame Generation for RTX 40 and RTX 50 series cards.
Performance remains inconsistent, as one user reported a save file corruption following a crash during chapter 11 of Drake's Fortune on an RTX 4060 laptop. As Sony reportedly reduces its focus on single-player PC ports, these community-driven projects and ongoing PS5 emulation efforts are becoming increasingly prominent alternatives for players.
