The developers of the anime horse racing franchise Umamusume: Pretty Derby have officially cancelled their upcoming Los Angeles concert. The organizers cited an inability to secure the required visas for entry into the United States as the primary reason for this decision.
The event was originally scheduled to occur on 22nd and 23rd October. According to the official announcement, the team coordinated with all relevant parties and investigated every available option to proceed, but ultimately concluded that holding the performances was no longer feasible.
Fans who purchased digital or in-person tickets are entitled to refunds. While the developers expressed sincere apologies for the late notice and the inconvenience caused to attendees, the cast, and production staff, they have not yet provided specific solutions to further alleviate the frustration of those who had planned to travel for the show.
The cancellation has prompted discussions regarding the impact of immigration policies on international event planning. Some fans expressed disappointment over the outcome, while industry observers have questioned whether these logistical challenges might discourage Cygames from hosting future events in the United States.
