Taiwan Kadokawa has announced the upcoming release of the spin-off novel, "Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian: The Brave Alya," scheduled for the 2027 Taipei International Comics and Animation Festival. This new entry, written by Sunsunsun and illustrated by Momoco, shifts the series' setting to a fantasy world of swords and magic.
The plot follows Alya and her companions, who are suddenly summoned to a world where magic spells must be chanted in Russian. The group forms an unconventional party consisting of the hero Alya, the saint Masha, and the sage Masachika, embarking on a comedic adventure filled with romantic tension.
Two versions are available: a limited edition sold exclusively at the festival and the Kadokawa website, and a special edition currently open for pre-orders until November 11, 2026. The special edition includes an acrylic charm and a standee, while the limited edition features bookmarks, a phone stand, and a towel. Both versions come with a specially designed book cover and a collector's box.
The special edition is priced at 900 NTD, while the limited edition costs 1,100 NTD. Customers purchasing either version may add a gaming mouse pad for 700 NTD. Pre-ordered items are expected to ship in late January 2027, though official announcements remain the final authority on product details.
