CD Projekt Red has initiated the rollout of patch 5.01 for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered on the Nintendo Switch 2. This update, which began distribution in most regions, aims to address significant player feedback regarding blurry visuals, particularly when playing in handheld mode.

The update introduces specific adjustments to image sharpening to enhance detail definition. Furthermore, the developers modified the lighting systems to mitigate excessive brightness in certain scenes, aiming for a cleaner and more visually pleasing experience for users.

Beyond visual refinements, the patch resolves technical issues including a crash occurring during region transitions and a malfunction affecting HD Rumble in the left Joy-Con. Additional fixes address gameplay responsiveness, such as Geralt's delayed dodge, erratic boat movement, and inconsistent automatic sword oil application, features previously deployed to other platforms in early October.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered, which launched on September 29, continues to receive support through these updates. Looking ahead, the title is scheduled to receive a new expansion titled Songs of the Past in 2027.
