Japanese rock band Wasureranneyo appeared on the YouTube music channel THE FIRST TAKE for its 718th episode on the 21st. The group performed a one-take version of the opening theme song for the television anime Niconeko, titled Nanmonee, which translates to Nothing at All.
The track was written and composed by the band's vocalist and guitarist, Takahiro Shibata, and released in July 2026 alongside the anime. The lyrics feature self-deprecating themes that mirror the protagonist's chaotic lifestyle and spending habits on cigarettes, serving as an anthem for those living through daily struggles.
The song achieved significant success, surpassing 10 million views on YouTube within two months and topping charts on Oricon and Billboard. Following the anime's final episode on September 25, a commemorative version featuring the show's seven voice actors also reached 10 million views in two weeks.
Formed in 2008, Wasureranneyo currently operates as a solo project for Shibata, who utilizes support musicians for performances. The band debuted in 2011 with the ending theme for Kaiji: Against All Rules and has since provided music for various artists.
