Developer Rebel Wolves is preparing a significant update for The Blood of Dawnwalker, which is scheduled to arrive next week. Update 1.1 introduces several new features, including the ability to pet dogs and cats using the game's directional system.
The update adds a Story difficulty setting with combat assistance and new subtitle options. Players will also gain access to the Draught of Mind Rebirth, an item that allows for the resetting of skills and abilities across the Witchcraft, Swordmastery, and Vampirism trees to better suit specific playstyles.
Technical improvements include updates to the FrameGen system, camera enhancements, and refinements to Planeshift and Shadowstep abilities. Combat targeting is being adjusted to address issues where the directional system prioritizes blocking over focusing on specific enemies. Additionally, the Japanese version will have blood censorship removed.
The Draught of Mind Rebirth may assist players in completing extra missions within the game's 30-day limit. The Blood of Dawnwalker is currently available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5. Reviewer Phil Hornshaw noted that the game feels great to get lost in.
