Developer Rebel Wolves has announced that the upcoming version 1.1 update for the vampire RPG The Blood of Dawnwalker will introduce a unique directional animal petting feature. This addition allows players to interact with virtual dogs and cats using mechanics derived from the game's existing directional combat system.

The update also introduces a new Story mode designed for players who prefer focusing on narrative and decision-making over mastering swordplay. This mode includes an additional combat assist feature. The previous Story mode will remain available but has been renamed to Forgiving.

Additional gameplay improvements in version 1.1 include the Draught of Mind Rebirth, which allows players to reallocate skill points. Other technical refinements consist of improved combat targeting, better traversal, camera adjustments, and updates to the game's FrameGen technology.

Rebel Wolves has promised a total of 1100 changes in this update. While the studio is currently developing a sequel following the original game's sale of 1 million copies within its first three days, the controversial time mechanic is not expected to be altered in the current title.
