Steam Next Fest is currently live, providing PC players with free access to numerous upcoming game demos through October 26. This edition features over twice as many titles as last year, making discovery more challenging due to the influx of projects, including those utilizing generative AI.

Polygon highlights several notable titles, such as Thunder Lotus’s At Fate’s End, a 2D action and narrative fusion, and the remaster of the GameCube classic Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee, which adds online play and updated visuals. Other recommendations include the slapstick comedy sandbox My Arms Are Longer Now and the narrative roguelike Curse of Resthaven, which features a six-day time loop mechanic.

Reviewers note that while the sequel to El Paso, Elsewhere is currently rough around the edges, it successfully showcases evolving slo-mo action. Meanwhile, the Soulslike shooter Guns of Eschaton, designed by Viktor Antonov, offers a new character archetype in its updated demo, and the co-op title Dumpster Gang provides a raccoon-themed experience compared to Untitled Goose Game.

Additional titles like the cosmic horror roguelike Splatchinko, the Afro-Brazilian mythology-inspired Talaka, and the murder mystery shop simulator Tearoom of Terror are also available. Players should note that progress in the Curse of Resthaven demo carries over to its October 29 release, while other titles like Tearoom of Terror are slated for early next year.
