Capcom has officially launched a playable demo for the hunting action title Monster Hunter Wilds on the Nintendo Switch 2 as of October 20. This trial version allows players to explore the early stages of the narrative set within the uncharted Forbidden Lands.
The demo includes character creation, the opening prologue, and content up to Chapter 1-3. Players can test all 14 weapon types and utilize new mechanics such as Focus Mode and Focus Weakness Attacks. Additionally, the trial features hunts against new monsters like Chatacabra and Kematoris.
This offline-only demo supports local multiplayer for up to four participants, provided each player has their own console and software. During solo play, users can summon NPC support hunters via distress signals. Notably, online features and photo mode are unavailable in this version.
Progress made in the demo, including character customization, equipment, and option settings, can be transferred to the full retail version. Capcom is currently accepting pre-orders for the game, with early purchase incentives available for the standard and Gold editions.
