Super Meat Boy 3D has launched a free update featuring a crossover with the indie shooter Mouse: P.I. For Hire. This collaboration introduces Jack Pepper, the private detective protagonist from the animation-inspired title, as a playable character.
The update incorporates a distinct noir aesthetic, bringing the black-and-white visual style of Mouse: P.I. For Hire into the platformer. According to the founder and artistic director of Sluggerfly, the team aimed to translate this striking look while celebrating the opportunity to work with Fumi Games.
Beyond the new character, the patch adds support for DLSS and FSR, alongside various quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes. Currently, there is no announcement regarding reciprocal content from Super Meat Boy 3D appearing in Mouse: P.I. For Hire.
Super Meat Boy 3D is available on PC, PS5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch 2. On Steam, a bundle containing both titles is currently offered with a 16 % discount, priced at 41,61 euros.
