Hamster announced that Console Archives Raiden Project will be released on October 22 for Switch2 and PS5. The collection is priced at 1200 yen including tax.
Originally released by Seibu Kaihatsu in 1995 for 32-bit home consoles, the title includes both Raiden and Raiden II. Players control high-altitude combat bombers to defend Earth from extraterrestrial invaders, with support for one or two players.
The Console Archives series aims to revive classic home console games for modern hardware. This release features customizable buttons and screen settings, alongside save and load functionality.
The collection exclusively features the domestic Japanese versions of the games. Consequently, international versions are not included, and all in-game text is restricted to Japanese.
