Valve has officially launched the October 2026 edition of Steam Next Fest, providing users with access to thousands of downloadable demos for upcoming PC titles. This event, which Neowin identifies as the third iteration of the festival this year, remains active until October 26 at 10 a.m. PT.
The event hub features various tools to assist players in navigating the extensive library of available demos. Users can utilize filters based on specific genres, themes, and features, or browse through Steam tags. Additionally, the platform provides personalized recommendations derived from individual play history and purchase data, while a dedicated Charts section highlights the most popular demos currently trending.
A diverse range of titles is currently featured, including Haunted Paws, Emberville, Stronghold 4, Wyldheart, ArchAgeChronicles, Frostrail, Warhammer Survivors, Tropico 7, The Wolf Among Us Remastered, and Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter. While the majority of participating projects originate from independent developers, some larger publishers are also contributing demos to the event.
The festival concludes on October 26, which coincides with the scheduled start date for the Steam Halloween Sale. This week-long window serves as an opportunity for the community to sample upcoming releases before their official launch.
