Frontier Works announced on October 20, 2026, that the hot spring horror simulation game Ikai no Yadocho is participating in the Steam Next Fest. A playable demo is currently available for users on Steam.
Set in a mysterious inn located between worlds, players take on the role of an amnesiac employee. The core gameplay involves serving guests who are tsukumogami, spirits born from forgotten objects, while uncovering secrets about the protagonist and the supernatural realm.
During the day, players must treat guests suffering from kegare, a corruption that erodes their souls, through baths, meals, and rest. However, this corruption accumulates within the inn, manifesting as dangerous paranormal phenomena at night. Player choices and interactions influence the narrative path and final outcome.
The game supports both Japanese and Simplified Chinese, with voice actress Emiri Iwai providing the character voice for Hina in both languages. The full version is scheduled for release on Steam on November 11 for 1500 yen including tax.
