While the event highlights diverse genres ranging from frantic action to cooperative humor, the festival is currently grappling with significant market saturation and concerns regarding intellectual property.
The event showcases various titles, including the roguelite FPS Deadzone Rogue 2, the social stealth game No Body No Problem, and the cozy multiplayer title Loftia. Other notable entries include the kaiju combat remaster Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee and the gnome-themed survival adventure Grr Grr Gnomes, each offering distinct cooperative or competitive mechanics.
The festival has seen a surge in content, with 8,202 demos listed, more than double the previous year. This growth is linked to the rise of AI-generated content, which now complicates visibility for independent creators. Reports indicate that the most played demo, Find The Needle, is an AI-generated copy of the original Needle in a Haystack Simulator. Consequently, some developers, such as Alliance Arts, have preemptively canceled their demo releases to protect their concepts from being siphoned by AI.
