Spry Fox, the developer behind Cozy Grove, has introduced its new multiplayer life simulation game, Spirit Crossing, during the Steam October Next Fest. The title invites players to explore a mystical land situated between the human and spirit realms, where they can build homes and forge connections with other travelers, spirits, and bears.
Gameplay centers on collaborative community building within player-managed outposts. Participants must work together to decorate, maintain, and fortify their shared spaces against encroaching storms. Mechanics include gathering rare flowers, fishing, and performing music. As relationships deepen, players unlock advanced social features such as duo emotes, gift-giving, and teleportation.
The developers have implemented various optimizations based on player feedback, specifically refining the crafting system, gathering controls, and social interactions. Players can also customize their avatars and homes through clothing, hairstyles, and dyes to express individual styles while navigating the changing wilderness through climbing and gliding.
The Chinese-language demo for Spirit Crossing is currently available on Steam. Official sources confirmed that the trial version will remain accessible until November 9. The full game is scheduled for release in November.
