Atari has updated the Steam store page for Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered, making it accessible to users in Japan. Previously, the page was restricted following the initial announcement of the title, which is scheduled for release on November 3.
Developed by Pipeworks Studios, this title is a remaster of the 2002 fighting action game. Players can select from 12 kaiju, including Godzilla and King Ghidorah, to engage in battles across eight stages featuring varied environments like cityscapes and alien motherships.
The gameplay features unique monster abilities, such as melee strikes, energy attacks, and special moves during rage mode. Players can also utilize the environment by throwing buildings at opponents. The remaster introduces updated graphics, online multiplayer, and a revised unlock system allowing players to choose the order in which they acquire content.
A Japanese-language demo is currently available on Steam until October 27. While the PC version is moving forward, there is no confirmation regarding domestic store pages for the console versions announced for overseas markets.
