Key information

Independent developer JamieRowan has brought the action-adventure puzzle game Lelu to the Steam October Next Fest. During this event, players can access a free demo to experience the title ahead of its scheduled release on January 22, 2027.

Players control a wind-up toy that has gained self-awareness and seeks freedom from the evil Clockwork King. The gameplay involves exploring a factory environment, collecting tools, solving puzzles, and engaging in combat against hostile toys and massive toy titans.

The game features a black-and-white aesthetic blending pixel art with 3D animation. To assist with visual clarity, developers included accessibility options that allow players to highlight the protagonist or change its color. Players can also upgrade their health by finding cuckoo collectibles for an NPC named Naonao, or gather nuts from hidden chests to purchase maps and outfits.

The current demo allows players to challenge the Gacha King boss. Success requires observing the boss's attack patterns and utilizing items with precise timing and power to land effective strikes.
