Key information
Bit Reactor has launched the 1.2 update for Star Wars Zero Company, introducing Campaign Modifiers that allow players to significantly alter gameplay rules and increase difficulty. These settings must be enabled at the start of a new campaign.
The update introduces granular control over combat lethality, including permanent death settings and customizable injury thresholds. Players can now set specific percentages for soldier mortality, including an escalating risk mode that increases the chance of permanent loss after repeated defeats.
Tactical depth is expanded through new restrictions on character progression and combat mechanics. Players can disable health point bonuses, limit Advantage point gains, and impose a 99% cap on hit rates. Additionally, the update prevents players from swapping weapons or talents mid-campaign, forcing commitment to initial choices.
To improve economic balance, the studio drastically reduced costs for weapon upgrades and facility improvements. Recruitment costs are now standardized at 100 credits per soldier regardless of team size. Furthermore, the update nerfs specific characters like the Mandalorian Cly and Astromech droids, while resolving technical issues with the Overwatch ability and general interface animations.
