Sony Interactive Entertainment released the free Zenith update for the PlayStation 5 title SAROS on October 19. This content expansion introduces significant gameplay additions for both new and experienced players.
The update adds a New Game Plus mode titled Eclipse Layer, which unlocks after completing the main story. Players can increase the difficulty by selecting various Carcosa modifiers. As protagonist Arjun equips the Crown, it grows more elaborate based on the number of active Trial modifiers chosen, which also helps players decipher twelve new Vision collectibles scattered throughout the world.
A new Overload Rush mode allows players to battle bosses from the main game. This includes the Incursion and Ascension modes, which feature three bosses each, and the Totality mode, which pits players against all eight bosses. Players can compete for rankings based on their clear times.
Zenith also introduces ten new Protection modifiers to lower difficulty and ten Trial modifiers to increase it. Furthermore, the update implements accessibility options, including auto-firing, motion sensor controls, and a feature to reduce game speed.
