Key information

Gotcha Gotcha Games has released a P2D Map Editor demo for its upcoming game creation software, RPG Maker U2U. The demo is available on Steam as part of the Steam Next Fest event and is scheduled to remain accessible until November 16.

The P2D (Perspective 2D) feature is a new addition to the series designed to allow users to create maps with height and depth through intuitive controls. The demo enables users to build these maps, apply various effects, and preview character walking animations.

Users can save their creations, and the data is compatible with the final product. However, the developer notes that the demo does not include full game creation features and contains content currently under development, meaning specifications may change before the official release.

To celebrate the launch, the company is hosting a community event called "Let's Make Maps Together! P2D Map," which encourages users to share screenshots of their designs via the Steam community hub or X using the hashtag #P2Dマップ募集. This initiative, running until November 16, is intended for sharing and enjoyment rather than competitive ranking.
