Independent developer KRNK Studios has released a demo for Underground Security Inc. as part of the Steam Next Fest. The game blends dungeon management, tower defense, and Roguelite mechanics. During the event, players can participate in a special challenge to defeat a boss, which grants them the opportunity to name an adventurer appearing in the final version of the game.
In this strategy title, players act as dungeon managers who must recruit minions, mine resources, and construct traps. Gameplay cycles between day and night phases: during the day, players expand their dungeon and prepare defenses, while at night, they must repel waves of invading heroes. Managing a limited number of minions is crucial, as players must choose between mining, building, or defensive tasks.
The game features extensive customization options, including over 50 types of buildings and 125 unique minions like goblins, slimes, and skeletons. Players can further enhance their dungeon using over 200 ancient tomes that provide permanent buffs, alongside various spells and blueprints. These elements allow for the creation of powerful synergies as the dungeon grows.
