Alliance Arts announced on October 16 that the public demo for Pukey Goddess Shot Trick, originally scheduled for October 19, has been canceled. The developer will instead host a closed online playtest for selected participants.
The decision stems from concerns regarding the current management structure's ability to oversee gameplay video uploads and streaming restrictions. Furthermore, the developer fears that the demo content could be used to create AI-generated imitations that might be released before the official game launch.
To ensure players can still experience the title, the studio is organizing an online event for those who agree to specific participation rules and content guidelines. Interested users must apply via the official Discord server, which will also serve as the hub for feedback and instructions.
Pukey Goddess Shot Trick is a survival game featuring a yandere demon named Fam-Sur, where players engage in Russian roulette-style drinking contests. The title is scheduled for release on Steam on December 8, priced at 666 yen including tax.
