The Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket operations team has announced that a new series is scheduled to launch at the end of October 2026. This update aims to enhance both card collection and battle experiences for players.
A significant change to the release cycle is being implemented, with new expansion packs now arriving every 6 weeks instead of the previous 4-week interval. To support this, the team is expanding activities and missions to ensure a richer experience during the wait between releases.
New features include the 'Other Players' Decks' function, allowing users to view and copy popular or friend-made decks. Additionally, rental decks will no longer have usage limits and can be used in battles against others, starting with the new series.
The update also introduces 'Dual-Type' cards and a 'Special Pack' system featuring 'Initial Partners' from various regions, which can be opened using 'Special Pack Opening Power' that refreshes weekly. Furthermore, the team plans to introduce restricted-rule battle events and improvements to trading and gifting functions.
