A FedEx truck transporting PSA-graded trading cards was burglarized after departing a Southern California facility. Reports indicate that hundreds of items, valued at over $100,000, were stolen during the incident. PSA has confirmed it is collaborating with law enforcement and the carrier to investigate the theft.

In response to the security breach, PSA has deactivated the certificates for all stolen items and alerted its commerce partners to monitor for the missing collectibles. The company stated it is contacting affected customers directly to arrange compensation based on fair market value, up to the Maximum Insured Value selected for each specific item.

Collector SKY-B, who reported losing a 104-card collection, expressed concern regarding the valuation process. While PSA has committed to providing compensation, the collector fears that the company might offer low-ball values for his items, some of which he claims exceeded his selected insurance limits. He noted that the stolen collection included many irreplaceable cards accumulated over two years.

The impact of the theft extends beyond individual collectors. Content creator Boston Card Hunter has compiled a list of 383 allegedly stolen serialized cards, including items from sports and anime franchises. Other collectors have also reported losses on social media, prompting speculation that dealers may seek alternative shipping methods to avoid future risks associated with third-party carriers.
