The free Zenith update for Saros is now available on PlayStation 5, aiming to enhance replayability for returning players. This release introduces fresh content and additional settings designed to provide greater control over the game's challenging combat encounters.
New gameplay additions include Eclipse Layers, which serves as a New Game Plus mode, and Overlord Rush. The latter is a boss-rush mode that organizes adversaries into sets of three, culminating in the Totality set that features every boss in the game.
To assist with demanding combat, the update implements new accessibility options, such as the ability to slow down projectiles and an auto-fire feature that triggers when aiming at hostiles. However, the developer notes that weapon reloading remains a manual process.
Beyond these gameplay changes, the update introduces six new trophies for players to earn. The release follows a trend of providing free endgame content for action titles, with Housemarque positioning these additions as a way to improve overall accessibility and extend the game's lifespan.
