Sony Interactive Entertainment has rolled out a new AI-powered upscaling technology named Quick Spectral Super Resolution, starting today October 2.
Stemming from the Project Amethyst collaboration with AMD, QSSR serves as an evolution of PSSR from PS5 Pro. It relies on an efficient neural network structure and optimization for maximum PS5 performance.
The technology brings clear enhancements to both visual detail and stability on standard consoles, allowing users to experience AI upscaling benefits.
Marvel’s Wolverine and Ghost of Yotei are the inaugural titles to utilize QSSR, with the option added to graphics settings via the latest patch released today October 2.
