Key information
Developer Zemore Indie Games announced Pooper Scooper on October 20. The simulation game, which tasks players with cleaning up massive amounts of cat waste, is scheduled for release on PC via Steam in the fourth quarter of 2026.
Players must use a shovel to transport waste from litter boxes to trash cans while navigating a room. The game utilizes physics-based mechanics where the size and shape of each piece of waste affect shovel control. Players must decide whether to carry large amounts at once, which increases the risk of dropping items, or transport smaller, safer quantities.
The cats in the game actively hinder cleaning efforts by moving erratically, floating, and spinning around the room. Players must predict these behaviors to succeed. Failure results in the waste scattering across the floor, forcing a restart, while successful disposal earns praise from the game.
Inspired by the developers' personal experiences caring for their six cats, the game features audio recorded by the creators and their pets. Zemore Indie Games plans to donate a portion of the revenue to animal welfare organizations in the Philippines. A playtest is expected soon, and the title is currently available for wishlist registration.
