Authorities in Santa Ana, California, are investigating a significant theft involving a FedEx vehicle parked outside the headquarters of Professional Sports Authenticator (PSA). The incident, which occurred on October 13, resulted in the loss of numerous packages containing collectible items, including sports and Pokémon cards.

According to the Santa Ana Police Department, thieves breached the truck's lock while it was left unattended for 60 to 90 minutes. The stolen property included two pallets containing approximately 100 packages, valued at an estimated $963,000, and a third pallet with about 50 additional packages. Officials anticipate the final total value will exceed $1 million as the investigation continues.

PSA has confirmed it is cooperating with law enforcement and FedEx to address the burglary. The company stated it will provide compensation to affected customers based on the fair market value of their items, up to the Maximum Insured Value selected for each order. Additionally, PSA has deactivated the certificates for all stolen cards to prevent their circulation.

The theft gained public attention in mid-October after collectors reported receiving notifications from PSA regarding the incident. While some users expressed concern on social media regarding the valuation process for their lost collections, FedEx has emphasized that shipment security remains a priority as they assist local authorities with the ongoing inquiry.
